East Valley Lines N Scale Model Railroad

I am a member of the East Valley Lines N Scale Model Railway Club at Travel Town in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, CA. This is a video of when I last ran all of my trains on the club layout. Featured is the full Kato Super Chief, a Kato Amtrak Superliner, and two freight engines. If you are in the area, you can see the layout on weekends from 10am-4pm and even consider becoming a member yourself!

    Hi,

This train is an Amtrak Superliner. The engine is made by Kato and is a GE P42. The coaches are superliners and are phase 4 amtrak and also made by Kato!

Yo that train set is amazing..But can some one answer my wuestion please, why are some model train and ralilroad sets called O scale sets and others such as this one called N scale sets?

The N model train scale is probably the second most popular size. N scale model trains are approximately 1:160. The N stands for nine, which is the distance in millimeters between the inside rails of the tracks used in this scale.

Other common model train scales include O (1:48), G (1:24), and Z (1:220). G scale model trains are commonly seen in larger garden railway designs.

Are you sure that these trains are N scale models?

For me, they look as HO scale models, or N scale models that can roll in HO scale tracks.

Yes, East Valley is a N scale club at Griffith Park in LA. I used to be a member long ago.
