yep and thats why the new mustang with the 5.0L pulls 412hp and 390lb-ft and weighing in at 3600 pounds. thats 250 less than the camaro. but at least itll be fun to see a more equal comparison with the challenger srt8 (425hp), camaro ss (426hp) and mustang 5.0L (412hp)

They never had 425hp. Hemis had more like 550-600 range. That goes for most of the engines back then. They have more torque and more hp then they claim. THe reason for this was insurance. The higher the hp the higher your insurance. Therefore car companies gave them lower hp ratings to avoid higher insurance for buyers. Just look at the old mpg ratios in the late 70′s and even 80′s. Bunch of bs.

Absolute bullshit not comparing the SRT. The challenger is 100% the better looking car, has the most functionality, and (thank god) hasn’t had its image cheapened by a horrible no story big-budget robot movie. I own an R/T and i don’t know what they’re talking about anyway, i kill mustangs from light to light and i’m still running stock. Camaro’s a joke, its got a caddy motor and designwise it’s a cobbled-together boy racer car. i test drove all three and the chally was the most comfortable easy
put them hp for hp though. The mustang has way more hp. So that would not be fair! May be a roush 427hp? Maybe that would be closer? But never say mustang ant fast , SNAKEBITE!

Put it against the srt8 , anyone of them. Then horse power will be equal. I have a 2007 300c Srt8 that runs that and faster in the 60 , and is bone stock. So I think the camaro is a joke! By racing smaller hp cars! LOL
