The Funny Thing is that The Howard Johnons on Rt 17 by my house has larger and nicer rooms (bed is next to the couch and their is a chair and two tables and a desk.)
yeh, Ballys has dropped in quality substantially since 2000, but it’s a great base at current prices. right in the middle of the strip. HERE’S MY VEGAS TIP… when u get a taxi from airport to strip hotel, request to go via paradise road, otherwise most drivers will take you a rip-off circuit around the airport, adding $15 to your bill. if u go through a tunnel from airport to strip then YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!
Actually there are a share ignorant fucks in all countries. This just goes to show you hate Americans. But obviously your country must be pretty boring to risk vacationing in America (or thinking of). You do realize Las Vegas is full of Americans right?
Great hotel but HAUNTED! I stayed there a few years ago with my parents, and had no idea that some people thought it was haunted. While I was there, the elevator would stop at random floors, and open and close, a wine bottle sitting on a desk (full) flew across the room, and a bunch of pill bottles were flung off a table. I felt ‘watched’ and the toilet would randomly flush. When I got home I learned that some people think it’s haunted due to a fire that was there…
I think Bally’s Las Vegas hotel is dollar-by-dollar the best bet in the Las Vegas Strip. The room rates are great for what you get: an excellent location in the center of the Strip, you have the Bellagio across the street, and you can actually get into Paris within the same Bally’s hotel within a 3 minutes walk. The rooms are not luxurious but are HUGE, clean and safe. I really loved my staying there.
I stayed there in 1989 & I had the executive suite. It is a room like this plus a living room/dining area plus another 1/2 bath by the front door. It was huge! Also the reason you can’t use the balcony is most likely due to the 1980 fire, they don’t want anyone jumping from it. Most of the people that died were on the top floors.
